On the brink of the sixth mass extinction, Meta/Fauna presents two beings, both colossal and fragile, navigating an ephemeral habitat. Amid shifting landscapes, ghostly visions, and echoes of vanished species, the performance immerses us in a ritual of devastation and regeneration. Through dance, stilts, light, sound, and design, the audience is invited to experience a unique immersive and sensory journey.

FOR THE TREES

For the Trees is an improvised dance and live music performance honoring trees and the wisdom of the forest.

Musicians Jessie Rivest, Eliseo Santillan, and Darren Williams, along with dancers Hailey McCloskey and Claudia Moore, invite the audience to listen, learn, and celebrate the trees essential to life on Earth.

As Diana Beresford-Kroeger says: “We are all peoples of the forest… The majesty of nature speaks to us in a voice beyond our imagination.”

This performance pays tribute to our trees and forests, which must be protected for the good of all.

Immerse yourself in the unique world of José Luis Torres’ Handmade, a monumental installation exploring the paradoxical nature of objects—both essential and ornamental. Built from reclaimed doors and windows, the work forms a vast collage of gateways, each opening onto its own universe.

Through this process of construction and deconstruction, the artist shares a profound reflection on his experience as an immigrant in Canada and on life itself: always in motion, in transition, and constantly being rebuilt.

Contribute to the creation of an ephemeral garden around the installation through the Flowers of Renewal workshop. Each recycled paper flower adds a poetic, collective touch to the artwork.
