Remember that time when you were a child and learned how to paint by numbers? Let’s imagine a giant version of your colouring book. This is what the guys at Kettle River have created for you. Be creative and take part in a collective painting. Don’t be shy, add your colour!

A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

Have you ever heard that things are different at night? See for yourself by visiting the museum at night in a musical ambiance. Don’t miss the brand new exhibition Gold Mountain Dream! This temporary exhibition tells the story of how everything changed during the fevered era of the gold rush, as class and racial barriers were broken down and people seized the extraordinary opportunities that glittered before them.

COLOUR DROP WORKSHOP

The workshop is now fully booked (participants). You can still come out and watch what the participants are creating, as well as the exhibition presented in the Alternator Centre.

Try this unique workshop of water marble canvas with Krista, the owner of Colour Drop Design. Choose your colours and float the paint one drop at a time on the surface of the water, then use marbling combs, rakes, or stylus to create your own design.

WRITTEN MATTER - EXHIBITION

About the exhibition: The language of contemporary art, how it is written and read, is multilingual and only apprehended and fully understood in translation. Stop by this interactive art installation at some point during the night. Some strangers left a special message for you. In exchange, you will have to leave a message to someone. Pick your subject, your language and be creative!
